Polyaspartic is a type of aliphatic polyurea — a resin chemistry developed for bridge decks and industrial floors that need to go back into service fast and take abuse for decades. On a residential garage floor it does three things epoxy can't: it cures in a few hours so you're parking in about two days, it stays perfectly clear in sunlight, and it keeps enough flexibility to move with a Utah slab that swings 60 degrees between January and July.
Because it cures fast and tolerates cold, we can install polyaspartic floors year-round along the Wasatch Front and in the mountain towns — Park City, Heber, Eden — where an epoxy floor would never cure in a cold garage. For a garage in Utah, yes, and it isn't close. Epoxy is a fine industrial product indoors in a stable climate, but it yellows under UV, cures slowly in the cold, and turns brittle when the slab moves. Polyaspartic solves all three.
