Gray, pitted, salt-stained patio concrete can be resurfaced into a seamless, slip-resistant, color-fast outdoor floor. Polyaspartic is the only coating we trust outside in Utah, because it doesn't yellow and doesn't crack when the slab freezes.

Outdoor concrete in northern Utah takes the full punishment: 300 days of high-altitude sun, freeze-thaw cycles from October to April, snow shoveled off it with a metal blade, and de-icer tracked from the driveway. Most patios show it — pitting, surface scaling, rust stains from furniture, patches that never matched. Replacing the slab costs thousands; coating it costs a fraction and looks better.
Our outdoor system is a polyurea base with a full broadcast of flake or a solid color, finished with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat and an aggressive anti-slip aggregate. It's the same chemistry we use in garages, tuned for outdoor exposure: no epoxy anywhere in the stack, because epoxy chalks and yellows outdoors within a season.
Covered porches, sunroom floors, front entry steps and pool surrounds are all fair game. So are the concrete pads under hot tubs and outdoor kitchens.
Aliphatic polyaspartic is built for sun. Epoxy isn't — which is why you've seen yellow, peeling patios.
Heavy anti-slip texture means a safe surface around a hot tub, pool or after a summer storm.
The system stays flexible enough to move with the slab through Utah winters.
Pitting, scaling, stains and old patches disappear under a full-flake finish.
Lighter blends reflect heat better than dark stained concrete in July.
No sealing every year. Rinse it off and you're done.
Every SwiftHand floor follows the same sequence. Skipping a step is how coatings fail, so we don't.
Measure the space, check the slab for moisture and old coatings, pick a finish. You get a written price — online in minutes or in person.
We grind the concrete with dust-controlled diamond grinders to open the pores. Never acid etching, which is why our floors don't peel.
Cracks, pits, spalls and control joints are filled with polyurea joint filler and mender, then ground flush. Moisture is tested before anything goes down.
A pigmented polyurea/polyaspartic base coat is rolled on and wets into the ground concrete for a mechanical bond.
Vinyl flake is broadcast to full rejection (or metallic, quartz or solid color applied), then scraped smooth once set.
A clear polyaspartic topcoat locks it all in — chemical, UV and hot-tire resistant. Walk on it that evening; park on it in about 48 hours.
Outdoor coatings run about $5–$9 per square foot, similar to a garage. Heavily scaled or previously sealed concrete needs more grinding and prices toward the high end. We schedule outdoor work when overnight temperatures cooperate — typically April through October, with shoulder-season installs when the forecast allows.
Financing: 0% APR for up to 12 months and $0 down through Wisetack on approved credit — a $3,000 floor is $250 a month, interest-free. Financing details.

Yes. We grind off old sealers and stains so the new base coat bonds to raw concrete. Acrylic sealers in particular must come off or the new coating will fail.
Surface scaling is ground back to sound concrete and skim-coated with a polyurea mender before coating. Deep structural failure is a replacement conversation, and we'll tell you honestly at the consultation.
No. Outdoor floors get a heavier anti-slip aggregate than garages, and the flake texture adds grip. We can tune the texture to your preference.
Plastic-edged shovels and snow blowers with rubber paddles are fine. A steel shovel blade dragged hard will scratch any coating — and any concrete.
On concrete, yes. We also install waterproof deck coating systems over plywood decks — ask us at the consultation.
