A metallic floor starts with a solid base coat, usually black or deep gray, then a clear 100%-solids epoxy loaded with metallic mica pigment is poured across it and worked with rollers, brushes, air and alcohol to create movement — veins, pools, ripples, the look of polished stone or slow-moving lava. Once it cures we top it with clear polyaspartic so the finish is UV-stable, scratch-resistant and easy to clean.
