Garage Storage — Get Everything Off the New Floor

The best-looking coated floor is the one you can actually see. Wall cabinets, slatwall and overhead racks installed with your floor put the bikes, bins and tools up off the concrete and keep the garage looking finished.

Garage Storage & Cabinets — representative photo

Ask anyone who's had a floor coated: the first thing they do is look at all the stuff they don't want back on it. Storage is the natural second half of the project — wall-hung cabinets so nothing sits on the floor, slatwall for bikes, skis and tools, and overhead racks for the bins that only come down twice a year.

We install storage after the floor cures so there's no drilling into wet resin, and we hang cabinets off the wall so the floor beneath stays seamless and easy to sweep. Skis, snowboards, bikes and camp gear — the standard Utah garage inventory — all have a spot.

Storage is an add-on, not our core business, and we say so. If you want a full custom garage design, we'll tell you who to call. If you want cabinets, slatwall and racks that get everything off a beautiful floor at a fair price, we've got you.

Why homeowners choose it

Our process

How the install goes

Every SwiftHand floor follows the same sequence. Skipping a step is how coatings fail, so we don't.

Free consultation or instant quote

Measure the space, check the slab for moisture and old coatings, pick a finish. You get a written price — online in minutes or in person.

Diamond grinding

We grind the concrete with dust-controlled diamond grinders to open the pores. Never acid etching, which is why our floors don't peel.

Repair & moisture check

Cracks, pits, spalls and control joints are filled with polyurea joint filler and mender, then ground flush. Moisture is tested before anything goes down.

Base coat

A pigmented polyurea/polyaspartic base coat is rolled on and wets into the ground concrete for a mechanical bond.

Flake or finish broadcast

Vinyl flake is broadcast to full rejection (or metallic, quartz or solid color applied), then scraped smooth once set.

UV-stable topcoat

A clear polyaspartic topcoat locks it all in — chemical, UV and hot-tire resistant. Walk on it that evening; park on it in about 48 hours.

FAQ

Questions we get about garage storage

Do you install storage before or after the floor?

After — usually a few days later once the floor is fully cured. Cabinets hang off the wall so the floor beneath stays seamless.

Can I keep my existing cabinets?

Yes. We'll move them out for the floor and re-hang them on the wall afterward if they're wall-mounted; floor-standing units go back on leveling feet.

Is slatwall strong enough for bikes and skis?

Yes. PVC or aluminum slatwall screwed into studs holds bikes, ski racks and tool hooks easily.

Do you do custom garage design?

We keep to cabinets, slatwall and racks. For a full custom build-out we'll happily refer you.
