New Build? Coat the Garage Before You Move In

An empty garage, a fresh slab, no boxes to move — the week before move-in is the easiest floor coating we ever do. Here's what to check first and why builder-grade concrete needs it.

New Construction? Coat the Garage Floor Before You Move In

Why new slabs need it

Builder slabs are poured fast and finished fast. They dust, they have shrinkage cracks by the first winter, and they've never been sealed. The first salt season starts the pitting. Coating a new slab freezes it in its best condition.

Wait for cure

Concrete needs about 28 days before it can be coated. If you're closing on a house that was poured months ago, you're fine. If the slab is brand new, we'll schedule accordingly.

Check for curing compound

Many builders spray a curing compound on fresh slabs. It has to be ground off — which we do anyway. It's the reason a DIY kit on a new slab often fails within a year.

The easiest install

  • Nothing to move.
  • No old coating to remove.
  • Straight walls, fresh stem walls, easy masking.
  • We can coordinate with your builder or coat the week between closing and move-in.
