Why winter works

A DIY epoxy kit needs the slab above about 55°F for a week — impossible in an unheated Utah garage from November to March. Polyaspartic is different: it cures near freezing, and it cures fast enough that we can grind, coat and top a garage in a single winter day with a couple of propane or electric heaters running. We install year-round from Tooele to Park City.

What changes in cold weather

• We heat the garage to keep the slab and the resin in their working range. You'll notice heaters, not a problem.
• Cure slows a little. Park in 48–72 hours instead of 48.
• Two-day installs are more common in unheated mountain garages below about 20°F — we'll say so in the quote.
• Snowmelt matters. We ask you to park outside the night before so the slab is dry when we grind.

Why winter is actually the smart time

• The schedule is more open than in the spring rush — shorter wait to install.
• Your floor is sealed before the heaviest salt weeks in January and February.
• Basements are a perfect winter project — no weather exposure at all.
• Bundle a garage door repaint while the crew is there and the door isn't buried in snow.

The one situation we wait on

Exterior work — patios, steps, pool decks — needs overnight temperatures above freezing for a couple of days. We schedule those from April through October and take shoulder-season jobs when the forecast cooperates. Inside, there's no bad month.
